Report on the Uninsured
The numbers of uninsured in the US and in Ohio are higher than previously documented:
A report released on March 5, 2003, by the Robert Wood John Foundation, shows that nearly 1 out of 4 non-elderly Ohio residents - 2.5 million, were without health insurance for some time during 2001-2002. Nearly 2/3 of those were uninsured for over 6 months.
Nationally, nearly 1 out of 3 non-elderly Americans - over 74 million people - were without health insurance during 2001-2002.
