Reducing Racial & Ethnic Disparities in Health Care
UHCAN Ohio is a partner in the Latino Empowerment and Outreach Network (LEON) project, in Columbus, entitled "Abrete Sesamo" or "Open Sesamo." This project has developed a curriculum and materials and conducts workshops for new Latino immigrants, to teach them how to use our complicated health care system effectively and responsibly.
Physician Diversity: Insuring that health care providers reflect our nation's racial and cultural diversity is a critical part of reducing disparities in health care.
